Job Description Summary: The DC CFAR is part of a national network of 20 CFARs supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The DC CFAR mission is to advance our multi-institutional research effort to contribute to ending the HIV epidemic and improving the health and quality of life of persons with HIV in Washington, DC, and beyond in partnership with community and government. The DC CFAR's unique citywide model unites the complementary scientific efforts of nine partner institutions in Washington, DC - The George Washington University, Georgetown University, Howard University, American University, Children's National Hospital, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the DC Department of Health, Whitman-Walker and Us Helping Us.
The Center Associate, DC CFAR, manages and coordinates activities across the Administrative Core A (10%), Developmental Core B (30%), Advanced Technology Core C (20%), Clinical and Population Sciences Core D (20%), and Social and Behavioral Sciences Core E (20%) of the District of Columbia Center for AIDS Research (DC CFAR).
The Center Associate serves as the centralized Core Manager and primary operational liaison among the Developmental, Advanced Technology, Clinical and Population Sciences, Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Administrative Cores. In this capacity, the Center Associate leads the day-to-day coordination of activities across multiple Cores, works directly with Core leadership to advance Core priorities, monitors activities and deliverables, and facilitates communication and collaboration across the DC CFAR's multi-institutional network.
Specific duties include:

Qualified candidates will hold a BA/BS in a related discipline. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.
