Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Associate to perform openings and closings for burials, install memorials, and complete related service orders at the Mayagüez location. You will operate hand tools and heavy equipment, prepare burial sites, and maintain all areas per safety standards.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months of equipment operation experience, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience: minimum of six months operating standard equipment.
• Licenses: valid driving record and applicable licenses to operate equipment/vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families.
• Responds to and completes service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
