City of Saint Charles is seeking a full-time Cemetery Supervisor to oversee Oak Grove Cemetery operations, staff, and services. This role ensures high-quality service to families, coordinates burials, maintains records, and manages grounds maintenance and safety.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED plus 3+ years in public works or cemetery supervision, with preferred experience in heavy equipment and budgeting responsibilities. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus at least three years of progressive public works/parks maintenance/supervision experience.
• Prior cemetery experience or vocational training in heavy equipment preferred.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate burials and communicate with families, funeral directors, and monument companies.
• Sell burial plots and maintain complete financial and interment records.
• Plan and supervise cemetery grounds maintenance, projects, and equipment purchases.
• Provide customer service to visitors and respond to inquiries and emergencies.
• Assist with annual budgets and capital improvement planning.
