Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a dedicated associate in Piedmont, SC to perform cemetery maintenance and support interments, entombments, and marker installations. You will operate hand tools and machinery, respond to service requests, and follow safety protocols daily.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least six months of equipment experience, with a valid license and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment.
• Valid driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment/vehicles.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment listed in job responsibilities.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Performs openings & closings for burials, entombments and inurnments.
• Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers.
• Installs outer burial containers.
• Handles and completes work orders from client families related to grave and marker maintenance.
• Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders.
• Conducts Interment Verification Procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
