Cemetery Groundskeeper - King of Prussia

Marathon Staffing is seeking reliable, hardworking candidates for a Cemetery Groundskeeper position available immediately in King of Prussia, PA! The position provides overall grounds and maintenance service conducive to provide burial, landscaping, and burial marker installation services.

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist in performing openings & closings for burials, entombments, and inurnments
2. Operating a mower, weed eater and blower
3. Sets, installs, and assembles foundations, memorials, and markers
4. Handles and completes work orders from client families as it pertains to individual grave and marker maintenance
5. Responds to and completes requests for service/work orders
6. Conducts 25-foot radius preparation for burials and ensures the area is clean and neat
7. Fills grave, tamps, seeds or sods
8. Adheres to all Company safety rules and Universal Precautions
9. Maintains a clean and orderly work area
10. Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

1. Acceptable driving record and applicable license(s) to operate equipment/vehicles
2. High School degree or equivalent
3. Minimum of six (6) months experience operating standard equipment
4. Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, leaf blower, chain saw and pump
5. Ability to operate mechanical equipment
6. Ability to accurately use measuring devices
7. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client families
8. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
9. Pre-employment drug test and background required (testing does not include THC)

Work Conditions

Work indoors or outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions.

Work Hours

40+ hours a week - normally 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, unless otherwise requested. Saturdays and Sundays may be requested or required!

Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, may increase upon full time hire. Agency benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance and are available immediately!
