Job summary

The Michelle Martin Group is seeking a Groundskeeper for an immediate start in Suffolk, VA. This temporary, on-site position runs 29 hours per week (8 am - 5 pm) with a pay of $17.50 per hour.

The role focuses on cemetery grounds and headstone maintenance, working closely with the Cemetery Manager to keep the grounds respectful and well-kept. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 6 months of relevant experience, be physically fit, and able to operate basic lawn equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of groundskeeping or related experience.
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Mows grass, maintains grounds and headstones.
• Operates lawn and grounds equipment (mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters).
• Removes debris and trash from grounds.
• May assist with interments and grave layout as directed.
• Follow safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
