Job Opportunity: Cemetery Groundskeeper

Marathon Staffing is seeking reliable, hardworking candidates for a 1st Shift, temp-to-perm, Cemetery Groundskeeper position in Ambler, PA. The role involves providing grounds and maintenance services for burial sites, landscaping, and marker installation.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assist with opening and closing graves for burials, entombments, and inurnments
2. Operate equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and blowers
3. Set, install, and assemble foundations, memorials, and markers
4. Handle work orders related to grave and marker maintenance
5. Respond to service requests and complete work orders
6. Prepare burial areas within a 25-foot radius, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness
7. Fill graves, tamp, seed, or sod as needed
8. Follow all safety protocols and universal precautions
9. Maintain a clean work environment
10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment (e.g., shovel, rake, lawn mower, weed trimmer, blower, chain saw, pump)
• Ability to operate mechanical equipment
• Effective communication skills with colleagues, contractors, and families
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check (excluding THC)

Work Conditions:

• Indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditions

Work Hours:

• 40+ hours weekly, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; weekend work may be required

Pay rate is $17.00/hour, with potential increases upon full-time hire. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance, available immediately.
