Job summary

Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries is seeking a Maintenance Worker to care for cemetery grounds and facilities. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks under supervision, including grounds cleanup, equipment operation, and assisting families with needs.

Qualifications include at least 6 months in maintenance, a valid CA driver’s license, the ability to lift 100 lbs, and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 6 months of experience in a maintenance role.
• Must have a Valid California Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Must demonstrate caring and professional demeanor when assisting families.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• On-site work required.

Responsibilities

• General grounds clean-up and trash disposal.
• Clean and maintain storm drains.
• Repair lawn damage.
• Mow sections and garden lawns.
• Trim memorial tablets.
• Replant landscapes.
• Apply landscape chemicals (fertilizers, wetting agents, herbicides).
• Assist client families with grounds maintenance requests.
• Operate equipment to move materials.
• Assist in completing interments.
• Set up and clean up before/after events.
• Install tents for funeral services.
