Job summary

NorthStar Memorial Group seeks a Cemetery Caretaker for Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on grounds maintenance, interment duties, and facility cleanup to honor families’ experiences with care and tradition.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in grounds keeping and/or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass.
• Maintains lawn and trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers.
• Lays sod.
• Moves and removes flowers to and from the chapel and graveside.
• Blows leaves and grass.
• Edges with a stick edger.
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in a safe condition.
• Cleans ponds and fountains.
• Hand digs/trenching.
• Maintains overall appearance and cleanliness of funeral homes and/or mausoleum facilities.
• Performs minor repairs and painting; assists in loading/unloading caskets.
• Washes/cleans vehicles and golf carts.
