SC Department of Veterans’ Affairs is seeking a General Maintenance Tech II to support cemetery operations, including grave-site preparation, interments, and equipment maintenance. You will train new workers, manage headstones and grounds, and ensure safety and quality in daily tasks.

Qualifications include knowledge of landscaping, safe equipment operation, and strong communication. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring flexibility for evenings, weekends, and emergencies.

Competenze

• Knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to operate and maintain lawn and garden equipment safely.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
• Ability to assign and monitor tasks of team members.

Mansioni

• Coordinate burial operations with a 2–3 person team and follow Grave-site Layout Plan.
• Inspect and install headstones and niche covers, ensuring visibility and legibility.
• Maintain grounds, turf, trees, shrubs, and planting beds according to plan.
• Keep offices and facilities clean and functional.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cemetery equipment and vehicles.
• Address safety hazards and train new workers in interments.
