Job summary

Beth David Levitt-Weinstein Chapel in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Cemetery Caretaker to maintain cemetery and funeral home grounds, locate grave sites, dig graves, install crypt faces and memorials, perform interments and related repairs. The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma, with 6+ months of grounds keeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Cuts grass.
• Maintains lawn and trims around trees, walkways, and memorial markers
• Lays sod
• Moves and removes flowers to and from the chapel and graveside.
• Blows leaves and grass
• Edges with stick edger
• Clears debris and maintains drives and walkways in a safe condition.
• Cleans ponds and fountains
• Hand digs/trenching
• Maintains overall appearance and cleanliness of funeral homes and/or mausoleum facilities.
• Cleans and maintains the facility, performs minor repairs, painting, etc.
• Assists in loading and unloading caskets.
• Vehicle and golf cart washing/cleaning

Beth David Levitt-Weinstein Chapel is looking for a Cemetery Caretaker to join our team in Hollywood, FL where we offer a passionate and purpose-filled work environment. The Cemetery Caretaker is responsible for the overall appearance of cemetery, mausoleum, and funeral home locations, including maintenance and grounds keeping, locating grave sites, digging graves, installing crypt faces, memorials, monuments, conducting interments, entombments and inurnments, and repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
