Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Group Leaderman to oversee health & safety management and lead a repair and maintenance team at the cement terminal. Responsibilities include inventory control, product transfer, loading/unloading, and ensuring a ready supply of quality cement for the market.

The role requires coordinating with rail operations, operating terminal systems, and maintaining equipment while enforcing safety protocols and correct data entry in the Cemex APEX system.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to operate motorized, mechanical, electrical, and railroad equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of employees and equipment; assume responsibility in the manager's absence.
• Lead safety meetings and supervise daily team activities.
• Train the terminal team on safety protocols and equipment.
• Distribute daily inventory reports and communications.
• Manage railcar acceptance and release with regional railroad.
• Maintain accurate shipments using the APEX system (orders, weights, seals, bin numbers, etc.).
• Operate and maintain terminal facilities, equipment, and dust collection systems.
