Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Must have basic skills in computer comprehension (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must have motor skills necessary to operate mobile, mechanical, electrical, and railroad equipment.
• Must have some mechanical aptitude.
• Be capable of performing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of employees and equipment in the terminal when the terminal manager is absent.
• Lead safety meetings and assign daily work for the team in the terminal.
• Train the terminal team on safety protocols and equipment.
• Distribute daily inventory reports and email communications for the terminal.
• Accept and release rail cars with the local class one railroad.
• Operate and maintain unloading/loading systems and perform routine inspections for safety and cleanliness.
