Job summary

Ash Grove Cement Company in Nebraska is seeking production workers to join a team at our cement facility. This full-time role requires physical ability, reading and comprehension skills, and a willingness to learn new tasks. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance to roles such as heavy equipment operator or lab technician.

Shifts vary (8a-4p, 4p-12a, 12a-8a) including weekends and holidays. Competitive hourly pay starts after probation with annual raises and a full benefits package

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions and signs.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.
• High school graduation or equivalent is required.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleanup and material handling under supervision.
• Move into additional roles with training (e.g., heavy equipment operator, repair, lab tech).
• Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
• Clean the plant of materials or spills using basic tools and techniques.
• Operate mobile equipment (loader, forklift, bobcat, etc.) as trained.
• Assist maintenance, production or shipping as needed.
• Observe safety rules and keep work areas clean.
• Learn plant operations and process flows of raw materials and products.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.
