Job summary

Titan Florida LLC is seeking a Control Room Operator for our cement operation in the Miami, FL area. The role involves monitoring the plant control system, adjusting controls, and coordinating with mechanics and supervision to maintain production and product quality.

The position requires a certificate or relevant hands-on experience, proficiency with reading manuals, and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must know basic kiln and mill process; computer literate and able to monitor computer controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating procedures to protect employees and equipment.
• Monitor production control system and respond with appropriate actions.
• Adjust manual controls or override automatic controls to bring equipment into specified ranges.
• Maintain kiln at proper temperature and optimum stability.
• Record operations and maintenance actions in the shift logbook.
• Communicate with mechanics, electricians and supervisors to coordinate production needs.
• Monitor and adjust quality to maintain product standards.
• Operate plant equipment including kiln, mills, and conveyors within permit limits.
• Respond to alarms and optimize production to reduce power and heat use.
• Ensure emission levels meet applicable permit limits.
