Job summary

Titan Florida LLC in the Miami, FL area is seeking a Control Room Operator for its Cement operation. You will monitor the production control system, adjust controls, and coordinate with maintenance and supervisors to meet production targets.

The ideal candidate has a certificate or equivalent experience, reads safety rules and manuals, writes routine reports, and can work rotating shifts with SOP knowledge and under pressure.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school or 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of kiln and mill processes and computer controlled equipment.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe operating procedures to protect employees and equipment.
• Monitor production control system and respond with appropriate actions.
• Adjust manual or override automatic controls to keep equipment in range.
• Maintain kiln temperature and process stability.
• Record actions in the operators’ logbook and coordinate with maintenance.
• Communicate with mechanics, electricians and supervisors to coordinate requirements.
• Monitor product quality and optimize production, emissions and energy use.
• Respond to alarms and operate plant equipment within permit limits.
