Job summary

Quikrete in Newberry, FL is seeking a Maintenance Planner to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime by effectively planning maintenance work with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials.

Responsibilities include RCAs for safety incidents, enforcing safe work practices, developing detailed task plans, estimating manpower and duration, site validation, and managing work orders, with close collaboration with Purchasing to prioritize critical orders.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment screening including physical, background, and drug test.
• Mechanical engineering experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ cement manufacturing or related industry experience as maintenance inspector or planner.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to RCAs for safety incidents (accidents/near misses).
• Ensure contractor understanding and adherence to safe work rules.
• Develop detailed, step-by-step task plans within work orders.
• Determine required manpower and duration for each task.
• Conduct field visits to validate necessity and feasibility of work requests.
• Allocate ~30% on-site validation and ~70% work order management.
• Assess resources and address shortages proactively.
• Support weekly outage schedules and maintenance programs.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with budget tracking and KPI reporting.
• Monitor critical spare parts and coordinate with Purchasing.
