Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America in Mitchell, IN seeks a Senior Cement Plant Manager to lead all aspects of a large-scale cement operation, including kiln, raw mill, finish grinding, maintenance, quality, and environmental compliance.

You will drive world-class performance, coach teams, manage budgets, capital projects and safety programs, and partner with leadership to improve reliability and efficiency. The role requires 10+ years in cement manufacturing and a engineering degree.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in cement manufacturing operations.
• Deep knowledge of cement production processes, kiln operations, clinker manufacturing, maintenance reliability, and process optimization.
• Proven ability to deliver results in safety, production, quality, cost control and environmental compliance.
• Strong business acumen including budgeting, capital project management and operational decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 10+ years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of cement manufacturing operations across kiln, raw materials, clinker production, finish grinding, maintenance, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Drive world-class performance in cement production, kiln reliability, equipment availability, product quality, and energy efficiency.
• Ensure safe, efficient operation of quarry, raw mill, kiln, cooler, finish mill and packing sections with a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop, coach and mentor salaried and hourly employees to build a high-performance, accountable team.
• Champion safety and environmental stewardship by adhering to MSHA/OSHA/EPA requirements and permits.
