Job summary

City of Pittsburgh is seeking a Cement Finisher for Public Works to set forms and finish concrete on city construction projects. The role requires four years of full-time, paid experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid PA driver’s license is required, and residency within the City must be maintained throughout employment. Responsibilities include erecting scaffolds, assisting a bricklayer, keeping the site clean, and potentially driving a City vehicle.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of full-time paid professional experience as a cement finisher.
• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Combination of education and experience allowed as outlined in the notice.

Responsibilities

• Set forms for cement and/or concrete on City construction projects.
• Finish cement and/or concrete on City construction projects.
• Erect scaffolds and barricades for the work.
• Assist bricklayer in performance of the job.
• Maintain a clean work site and operate a City vehicle if required.
• Possibly use technology to maintain records and prepare reports.
