Job summary

Staab Construction Corporation seeks experienced Cement Finishers to join our team. The Cement Finisher will be skilled in concrete finishing with hand and power tools, form layout, and reading blueprints. Candidates must meet safety standards and take pride in quality work.

Responsibilities include finishing slabs and walls, assisting with layouts and pours, setting grades, and installing incidental concrete items. Travel up to 300 miles and overnight stays 3-4 days weekly may be required.

Qualifications

• Three years trade related experience or apprentice program graduate or equivalent education.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lb, climb to 30' heights.
• Safety knowledge and concrete finishing skills.
• Read and interpret blueprints; operate transit and laser level.

• Finish slabs and walls with hand and power tools; repair concrete walls and slabs.
• Assist in layout, form, and pour concrete walls and slabs using forming systems.
• Set grades and elevations; install rebar, sleeves, and anchor bolts.
• Read blueprints; rig and communicate for crane/excavator operations.
• Perform other construction duties as needed.

We are seeking experienced Cement Finishers to join our team. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality results. The Cement Finisher candidate will have good knowledge of concrete finishing with use of hand and power tools as well as skills in general concrete forming and layout. Ideal candidates adhere to company safety standards and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Finish slabs with hand and power tools
• Finish walls, including grinding and rubbing
• Repair concrete walls and slabs
• Assist in layout, form, and pour concrete walls (straight and curved) using heavy duty forming systems
• Assist in layout, form and pour concrete slabs, footings, sidewalks, and stairs
• Set grades and elevations
• Install incidental concrete items such as rebar, sleeves, anchor bolts, etc
• Rigging and signaling (crane/excavator communications)
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Perform other construction duties as needed

• Ability to work in confined spaces

Minimum Qualifications Required at time of Application:

Three years trade related experience or apprentice program graduate or other equivalent education experience. Ability to occasionally lift 100#, climb and work at 30' heights, ability to travel up to 300 miles and stay overnight 3-4 days per week. Knowledge or experience with wastewater and water treatment is a plus.
