Qualifications

  • Class A CDL with clean driving record.
  • Hazmat endorsement preferred.
  • Able to pass DOT pre-employment drug test and physical.
  • Able to drive commercial trucks with manual transmission.
  • Familiar with FMCSA regulations.
  • Able to work 12+ hour shifts.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills.
  • English language fluency for directions and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cement job equipment (cement bulk equipment, pump truck, field bins, semi-trailers).
  • Comply with DOT regulations; keep accurate driver logs and report mileage/fuel.
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections; ensure safe condition.
  • Maintain daily equipment documentation and report defects.
  • Rig up and rig down operations.
  • Assist with housekeeping on location before, during, and after the job.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) per HSE policies and company rules.
  • Attend required HSE training and use PPE as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Description
Job Summary

The DOT Cement Equipment Specialist operates and maintains equipment used in the cement job, performs vehicle and equipment inspections, maintains proper daily documentation of equipment, and performs rig up and rig down operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain equipment used in the cement job (i.e., cement bulk equipment, pump truck, field bins, and semi-trailers)
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (keep accurate driver’s log, submit driver’s log daily, accurately report mileage and fuel, and obey hours of service policies)
  • Perform vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure proper fluid levels, functioning brakes, working lights, and safe tire condition
  • Maintain proper daily documentation of equipment and report any defective equipment to proper personnel
  • Perform rig up and rig down operations
  • Assist with the housekeeping on location before, during, and after the job
  • Conduct proper Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and organization policy
  • Maintain compliance with all HSE policies by attending required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
  • Class A CDL Required
  • Maintain a valid CDL and clean driving record required
  • Hazmat endorsements preferred
  • Able to drive commercial trucks and other vehicles with a manual transmission
  • Familiarity with Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations required
  • Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and physical examination required
  • Able to pass a road test requiredAble to operate both manual and automatic transmissions required
  • Able to perform pre- and post-trip CMV inspection required
  • Must be familiar with electronic logging devices
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well with others, and work independently when required
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills and the ability to interact with employees in the field and at all levels of the organization
  • Able to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English
  • Must be able to work closely with others and under time-sensitive deadlines, including potential emergency response situations
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift
  • Able to safely operate and maintain assigned equipment during a 12+ hour work shift that will include days or nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to perform duties safely in all weather conditions
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. over your head and up to 50 lbs. safely
  • Can sit and stand on your feet for extended time
