Apple is seeking a Cellular RF Transmitter Systems Engineer in Waltham, MA. You will join an industry-leading RF Transmitter Systems Engineering team, collaborating with architecture- and systems engineering teams, RF design teams, and SW teams to drive transmitter concepts with leading-edge performance and uncompromised quality as a baseline for differentiating products.

Qualifications

• Minimum: bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across global teams.
• Knowledge of cellular radio/3GPP standards (GSM, UMTS, LTE, LTE-A, 5G NR) including RF aspects.
• Familiarity with RF systems and transceiver architecture, including lineup design and trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Translate system-level and performance requirements into TX lineup requirements and TX features, including RF algorithm specs for RFICs and system firmware.
• Define RF control infrastructure, including compute resources, interfaces, memory and timing constraints.
• Research, design, and prototype machine learning models for RF transmitter applications such as power control and calibration.
• Develop and maintain Python or MATLAB simulation environments to model RF systems and test AI algorithms.
• Analyze simulation data to evaluate model performance and propose improvements.
