Cellular/RadioFrequency Engineer – II

About SITE525: SITE525 is at the forefront of delivering cutting‑edge training solutions for information maneuver specialists. Our mission is to empower the warfighter with realistic, high‑fidelity training environments that simulate the challenges of modern information warfare. This Cellular/RF Engineer role will support the MACC‑TTE contract and is contingent upon award. The position is located at Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, IN.

Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, operate, and maintain cellular and radio‑frequency systems supporting MACC‑TTE, including 4GLTE/5G networks, fixed/mobile wireless systems, and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform RF spectrum engineering and management: coordinate frequency requests and licensing, develop spectrum baselines, monitor and deconflict spectrum during testing and training events, and liaise with DoD spectrum managers and the FCC.
  • Integrate RF systems with cyber‑range and OT/ICS environments; ensure compliance with DoD spectrum policies and support Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) connectivity.
  • Conduct site surveys, signal analysis, coverage mapping, and performance testing; implement security hardening and interference‑mitigation strategies.
  • Provide RF support during live events, troubleshoot issues, and document processes, procedures, and after‑action findings.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to maintain it.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related field with at least five years of experience in engineering and operating cellular and RF systems (2G/3G/4G/5G).
  • Experience in RF spectrum management and frequency coordination with DoD and FCC entities.
  • Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna theory, and network planning tools; proficiency in integrating RF hardware and software solutions.
  • Meet IATLevel2 requirements (Security+ CE or equivalent) and familiarity with DoD 8570.01‑M.
  • Prior experience working in a DoD test/training or cyber‑range environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with virtualization, software‑defined networking, or test instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Joint Spectrum Center processes, National Guard missions, and 5G experimentation.
  • Advanced certifications (e.g., CCNA Wireless, AWS Advanced Networking).

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds, but may vary depending on the position. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
