Job summary

Apple Inc. in Sunnyvale is seeking a Cellular System Engineer to lead the pre- and post-silicon verification of end-to-end cellular systems, aligning HW/FW architecture with system requirements.

You will collaborate with SoC, PHY, L1 SW teams and apply Matlab, C/C++, and Python to model, simulate, and validate 5G/ LTE algorithms such as LDPC, OFDM, and MIMO in both simulation and lab environments.

Qualifications

• MS in EE or related field.
• Knowledge of 5G NR, 4G LTE, PHY uplink channels and signals; 6G familiarity is a plus.
• Strong foundation in communication theory and signal processing for algorithm design (LDPC, Polar, Turbo codes, estimation, detection, OFDM, MIMO).
• Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development and link-level simulation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SoC, PHY, PHY HW/FW, and L1 SW teams to meet end-to-end system requirements.
• Hands-on pre- and post-silicon verification, validation, and bring-up to support productization.
