Job summary

Apple is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop software solutions for our current and future products, focusing on dependable test automation and interfaces.

You will apply strong programming skills in Python, Shell, and C/C++/C# and collaborate across teams to ensure high quality, robust automation and tooling.

Preferred candidates may have an advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and experience with RF test equipment, AI/ML workloads, and CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• BS and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts and interfaces.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Desired: advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and automation infrastructure (Git, CI/CD).
• Experience with AI/ML to optimize workflows and familiarity with large language models (LLMs).

As an Automation Engineer, you will develop software solutions for our current and future products.

Minimum Qualifications

BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.Experience developing test automation, including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts and interfaces.Strong programming skills in Python, Shell scripting, and/or C/C++/C# for test automation.Strong communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.Strong knowledge of wireless communication systems, with emphasis on FW cellular technologies experience is a plus.Proficiency with RF test equipment, including signal analyzers, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.Experience with automation infrastructure development (traceability, repeatability) and related tools (Git, CI/CD, databases, reporting tools).Proficiency in employing AI/ML technologies to optimize workflow efficiency.A background in generative models, natural language processing, and large language models (LLMs)
