Testarossa Vineyards, LLC in Los Gatos is inviting applications for a cellar intern during Harvest 2026. This full-time temporary role offers hands-on learning of the winemaking process from start to finish alongside our dedicated team.

Based at our historic Los Gatos site, the internship runs approximately August 6th to October 9th and involves tasks from sanitation to bottling prep and packaging, with emphasis on teamwork and a passion for wine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Previous cellar or winery experience is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication is essential.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Learn and develop skills in the wine making process.
• Sanitize cellar area, equipment, and tanks.
• Perform cellar tasks: punch downs, pump-overs, racking, drains, barrel filling.
• Assist with bottling prep, transferring wine, packaging, and quality checks.

We are seeking a cellar intern for our 2026 harvest season (approximately August 6th - October 9th). This is a full-time temporary position. The expertise of our wine team has allowed us to earn over 1,900 Outstanding wine scores of 90+ points! What the Cellar Intern does

As a cellar intern, you’ll be an integral member of the wine making team for Harvest 2026! Whether you have a personal interest in wine, or are just starting your winemaking career, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the winemaking process from start to finish. Working with our winemaking team at our historic Los Gatos site, the day to day may include:

• Learning and developing skills required for the wine making process
• Sanitizing cellar area, equipment, and tanks
• Performing cellar activities: punch downs, pump-overs, racking, drains, barrel filling
• Preparing for bottling: prepping, barrel prep and racking, transferring wine
• Packaging bottles: loading bottles, packaging, shipping, and quality checks

Requirements

• High school diploma required, and college degree or pursuit of degree preferred
• Previous cellar experience or winery experience is a plus, but not required
• Effective communication
• Ability to work well as a team and contribute to group tasks and independently
• Passion for wine

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up 50lbs frequently
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Repetitive motions: lifting, reaching, grabbing, climbing stairs, kneeling, and twisting.
• Work typically performed both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and temperatures
