Job summary

Vanderbilt Health's Bone Marrow Processing Lab in Nashville seeks a skilled laboratory technologist who independently performs complex cell manipulation on human cells. The role involves aseptic handling of HCT/Ps, precise calculations, and strict documentation to meet cGMP, CAP, and FACT standards.

You will perform QC, calibrate instruments, maintain records, and ensure timely reporting of results while upholding safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1 year of relevant work experience in a clinical lab preferred.
• Licensure/certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or state equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and some complex procedures and testing in a timely and accurate manner.
• Performs quality control (QC) procedures and documents results.
• Maintains complete records and instrument worksheets; performs maintenance as needed.
• Calibrates and standardizes sophisticated instrumentation according to guidelines.
• Checks reagents and maintains adequate supplies.
• Supports proficiency testing materials and timely reporting of results.
