Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in Boston, MA is seeking an Associate Director of Manufacturing Operations for Cell Therapy to lead multi-product manufacturing operations and ensure compliant, timely delivery of therapies to patients.

You will oversee three shifts, drive digitization and automation, and coach a growing team while partnering with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing with a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, or engineering discipline.
• Typically requires 12 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing day-to-day drug product manufacturing site operations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver program goals by ensuring efficient, compliant cell therapy manufacturing activities.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic decisions into manufacturing execution.
• Monitor resources, including FTE allocation, equipment utilization, and capacity planning.
• Coach and develop direct reports and emerging leaders to build leadership pipeline.
• Maintain a strong quality culture and ensure GMP compliance.
