Job summary

University of California, San Francisco seeks a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist to support the Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy programs. The role involves processing, storage, and distribution of cellular therapy products and performing test procedures including flow cytometry, with accurate reporting of results.

You will operate laboratory instruments, troubleshoot equipment, follow QC procedures, and contribute to section-wide tasks to ensure patient-safe

Qualifications

  • Requires BA/BS in a related science.
  • Good technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to produce accurate, legible records.

Responsibilities

  • Process, store and distribute cellular therapy products (bone marrow, stem cell, immune effector cell).
  • Perform test procedures in BMT Laboratory including flow cytometry and report results.
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation and equipment to generate accurate test results.
  • Troubleshoot errant instrumentation/equipment and assist with QC procedures.
  • Follow established quality control procedures and participate in section tasks.
