Job summary

Timken's GGB by Timken in Thorofare, NJ is hiring a packer/sorter (Cell Operator) to assemble, inspect, and package parts in a union environment. The current hourly rate is $28.47 and duties include deburring, washing, and visual inspection to ensure quality.

You will operate equipment, use SAP for orders, lift up to 35 pounds, and uphold Safety and 5S standards while collaborating with a team to maintain steady production.

Responsibilities

• Hand deburring parts one at a time and ensure each part passes quality inspection.
• Machine deburring parts by loading parts and monitoring the process.
• Washing parts and monitoring process start to finish.
• Visual inspection of parts to ensure quality.
• Packing parts into boxes.
• Post and track orders within SAP.
• Operate in safety standards and maintain 5S housekeeping.
• Collaborate with team to maintain product quality and flow.

A packer/sorter also known as a “Cell Operator” performs an array of functions including but not limited to packing, sorting and inspecting parts.

ShiftAvailable for Immediate Hire:

Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 4:40pm (overtime required based on business need).

GGB by Timken is a manufacturer of high performance bearings. The position will be in a union environment. The current hourly rate is $28.47.

Job Duties Include:

Hand Deburring Parts one at a time to ensure each part passes quality inspection

Machine Deburring Parts by placing a quantity of parts into a machine and monitoring the process from start to end

Washing Parts placing a quantity of parts into a machine and monitoring the process from start to end

Visual inspection of parts to ensure each part passes quality inspection

Packing parts into boxes

Systemic Posting and tracking orders within SAP

Able to operate standards in Safety

Responsible for consistent part quality and ability to interact positively with team members to obtain that quality & product flow

Housekeeping to 5s standards

Attention to Detail

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent is Required

Able to lift up to 35 pounds
