Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking a meticulous Cell Manufacturing Assistant to join the Cell Therapy Core Facility. You will support cGMP production, tech transfer activities, and analysis of gene expression in cell lines under supervision, helping translate research into clinically relevant studies.

The role requires strong organizational skills, precise documentation, and collaboration with team leaders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 5 years related experience or MA/MS with 3 years related experience.
• Experience in cGMP or clinically regulated environment preferred.
• Experience with molecular and/or cellular biology techniques.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cGMP production of clinical-grade products.
• Assist in tech transfer and quality control of ancillary cells.
• Analyze gene expressions in cell lines and samples using standard assays (FACS, PCR).
• Participate in process validation and tech transfer activities.
• Plan and discuss laboratory projects with team leaders and managers.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure accurate documentation.

TheCell Therapy Core Facility(CTCF)develops, validates, and implements procedures critical to gene transfer-related clinical researchincluding:genetic engineering and ex vivo transduction of patient cells,cell line development,vector production, R&Dand process developmentwork relating to vector production and transduction of patient cells, analysis of gene transfer efficiency and transgeneexpressionin patient cells. BTCF enables the translation of innovative research concepts into clinically relevant studies, supporting the development of new strategies for understanding and applying gene-based therapies!

RoleOverview:

• cGMP Manufacturing:Participate in thecGMPProduction of large-scale clinical-gradeproducts such as,NK, TCR, and T cell products

• Tech Transfer activities:Assist in the production/development and quality control of ancillary cells, such as master cell banks

• Analyze gene expressions in cell lines,primary cell lines,andresearchsamples using FACS, PCR,qPCR,etc

• Participate in process validation and tech transfer activities

• Participate in planning and discussion of laboratory projects with team leaders and managers

• Operates andmaintaincomplex laboratory equipment such as FACS machine, qPCR machine,cell washers,and bioreactors

• Complete all documentation per GDPand cGMP regulationperCTCF's SOPsandmaintainingdetailed experimental records

• Proactivelyparticipatein data analysis, data summary, data evaluation, and maintenance of corresponding databases inan accurateandtimelyfashion

• Development, writing and updating of SOPs and material lists

• General lab upkeepandorganization

KeyQualifications:

• BA/BS withfive(5) years related experience or MA/MS withthree(3) yearsrelated experience;previousexperience in cGMP or clinically regulated environment and knowledge of biotechnologiesarestrongly preferred.

• Must haveexperience withmolecular and/or cellular biology techniques.

• Knowledge of basic computer applications and ability to use MS Office software
