Job summary

Qualitrol is seeking a Cell Leader to manage production scheduling, material readiness, and performance feedback for cell teams. You will coordinate schedules, monitor takt time, and drive continuous improvement with ISO and 5S standards in mind.

Responsibilities include coordinating vacation, handling shortages, and supporting training. The role requires experience in electrical panel assembly, strong planning, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and prioritize orders through cells.
• Distribute schedules and shop orders to cells.
• Review defect sheets and totals on cell summary sheets.
• Post quality and delivery data on cell boards.
• Review demand exception report daily and adjust as needed.
• Take corrective actions to meet service level targets.
• Handle shortages, rush orders, and special production issues.
• Provide appraisal input to supervisors and corrective actions for operator errors (CQC).
• Maintain cell takt time boards accuracy and integrity.
• Fill in for absent employees; support cell housekeeping and 5S.
• Coordinate vacation schedules with supervisor.
• Prepare and file CS packages; act as scheduling coordinator contact.
• Ensure ISO compliance for the cell and standard work adherence.
• Assist supervisor in training cell associates.

Fairport, NY, United StatesYour Impact:The Cell Leader, in addition to the responsibilities of the Assembler and under moderate supervision, is responsible for scheduling production, ensuring the required materials are available for the cell, and problem-solving and providing performance feedback regarding cell members to the Production Supervisor.Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:Schedules and prioritizes orders through cells.Distributes schedules and shop orders to appropriate cells.Reviews in-process defect sheets and records totals on cell summary sheets.Posts quality and delivery data on cell boards.Reviews the demand exception report daily and makes necessary adjustmentsReviews and posts monthly, weekly, and daily service level results.
