Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) in Asheville, NC and seeks an experienced Cell Leader to assist with site startup and long-term production planning. You will lead a cross-functional team, onboard operators, and drive safety, quality, and cost improvements using CORE and SPS frameworks.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) with 8+ years of related experience, plus proficiency in Excel and SAP. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in related roles, or Advanced degree with 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (MS Office) and related tools.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program information.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a cross-functional team standing up a greenfield foundry in Asheville.
• Identify and onboard operators to support facility standup.
• Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, procurement, and cost via SPS/CORE systems.
• Perform daily supervision, project management, and communication with support groups.
• Establish work schedules aligned with customer requirements and resources.
• Provide leadership and team-building through toolbox talks and clear direction.
• Address issues with the workforce to meet cell goals and production needs.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to Quality, EHS, and SPS and drive customer satisfaction.

Pratt & Whitney is constructing an Advanced Casting Foundry (ACF) within its Asheville, NC factory. We’re looking for experienced Cell Leader can assist the ACF with site startup on-site, and be heavily involved in long-term production planning.

What You Will Do

• Be part of a cross functional team charged with standing up a greenfield foundry in Asheville
• Participate in process to identify and onboard operators to support facility standup
• Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts
• Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements
• Perform daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication, and execution with support group members
• Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability and other priorities
• Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
• Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals
• Demonstrate a 100% dedication to Quality, Environment Health, and Safety (EHS) and Standard Production System (SPS)
• Drive quality and customer satisfaction through CORE operating system / continuous improvement

Qualifications You Must Have

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of related experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs including Excel

Role Types

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
