Job description

Currently I have an opening for a Cell Culture Research Associate located in South San Francisco, CA. Details for the position are as follows:

Technical Information:

• 12-month contract position with potential for extension or conversion
• Pay: $50-68 hourly, depending on experience level
• Onsite, M-F, 8am-4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Experience:

• A PhD degree with 0+ years of industry experience, or a Master's/bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, virology, biotechnology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Must have experience with mammalian cell culture, rAAV production, molecular biology techniques such as molecular cloning, western blotting, qPCR, ddPCR, etc.

Job Description:

• We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and highly motivated cell culture and molecular biologist to join our mammalian cell line development group.
• The successful candidate will work on host cell line development using the client’s industry-leading targeted integration technology, with the aim of improving recombinant Adeno-Associated Virus (rAAV) manufacturing for gene therapy applications.
• Expertise in cell culture, process development, and molecular biology techniques are needed.
• This is an ideal position for a researcher who is enthusiastic about research, innovation, and drug development experience in gene therapy.
• The successful applicant will work independently under minimal supervision to design and execute multiple experiments in parallel.
