Job summary

Capable is seeking a highly motivated cell biologist to join our San Francisco team. You will design, run, and optimize GPCR-based assays, work with chemists to connect synthesis to biology, and help define robust workflows in an early-stage environment.

You have hands-on experience with cell-based assays, troubleshooting, and a willingness to own key experimental steps. This role offers competitive pay, equity, and visa sponsorship where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience running cell-based assays.
• Able to troubleshoot workflows and improve assays.
• GPCR signaling assay experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Design, run, and optimize cell-based assays for GPCR pharmacology.
• Develop robust assay workflows across transient and stable cell systems.
• Run fluorescence, luminescence, HTRF/TR-FRET, BRET, ELISA/readouts to characterize potency and kinetics.
• Collaborate with chemists and automation engineers to link synthesis outputs to biology.
