Cognizance Technologies, LLC in Silver Spring seeks a Researcher I - Cell-Based Bioassay Scientist to develop cell-based assays and support FDA OPQR projects. The role emphasizes transcytosis bioassays and collaboration across teams, with emphasis on rigorous documentation and data integrity.

The candidate will contribute to regulatory science efforts, present findings, and support ongoing projects in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, biochemistry, or a related life science field, or a Master's with 3+ years of lab experience.
• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, including immortalized cell lines.
• Proficiency in qRT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, and immunohistochemistry.
• Strong documentation and SOP familiarity for data handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Establish and characterize cell-based and biochemical assays for biologics.
• Develop transcytosis and permeation bioassays across epithelial layers.
• Document results with reproducibility and communicate with the TPOC.
• Provide hands-on lab support and collaborate with OPQR and external partners.
• Deliver weekly updates and prepare final research summaries.
