Opportunity Overview

POP MART is seeking an experienced and highly connected Celebrity Relations Manager to strengthen our presence across the U.S. entertainment, fashion, and pop culture landscape. This role will build and maintain authentic relationships with celebrities, artists, athletes, creators, publicists, stylists, and entertainment industry partners while identifying opportunities to organically integrate POP MART and our IPs into culturally relevant moments.

The ideal candidate brings an established entertainment industry network combined with hands‑on experience across both celebrity relationship management and event execution. This person knows how to build relationships directly, create authentic celebrity engagement, and execute initiatives from initial outreach through activation. Experience working in an entrepreneurial or emerging‑brand environment, where creativity and relationships drive results without reliance on large agency budgets, is highly valued.

We follow an office policy with an expectation of five days per week working onsite. Being together in person helps us collaborate, stay connected, and build a strong team culture. At POP MART, we foster a high‑trust environment and trust our employees to make decisions that support both the team and the business.

What You Will Achieve
Celebrity Strategy & Relationship Development
  • Utilize existing connections with top celebrity agencies, including CAA, UTA, and WME, as well as publicists, managers, and personal stylists to position POP MART as a first‑to‑market brand within the American entertainment industry.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with a core network of celebrity collectors and cultural tastemakers, including singers, Hollywood actors, sports icons, and influential creators, and explore opportunities to turn them into deep, loyal fans of POP MART's IPs.
  • Develop authentic, long‑term relationships with talent and their teams while identifying opportunities for organic brand engagement.
  • Personally manage celebrity outreach and communication, from initial relationship development and product gifting through ongoing engagement and activation opportunities.
Cross-over Campaigns & Content Integration
  • Draw on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or entertainment experience to orchestrate organic celebrity unboxings, vlog integrations, lifestyle content, and social media moments that support new product launches.
  • Partner around major cultural and entertainment moments, including the Grammys, Oscars, Met Gala, fashion weeks, and major premiere red carpets, to secure gifting, VIP lounge, product placement, and other organic exposure opportunities for POP MART IPs.
  • Identify creative and resourceful opportunities to generate meaningful celebrity engagement and brand visibility.
  • Stay closely connected to entertainment and social media trends to identify emerging talent, cultural moments, and opportunities for POP MART.
Event Marketing & PR Activations
  • Work closely with PR and Marketing teams to support on‑the‑ground PR events, including IP exhibition VIP openings, flagship store launches, Labubu Tours, product launches, and other POP MART activations.
  • Own and support end‑to‑end celebrity participation in events, including talent identification, outreach, communication, invitations, gifting, logistics, onsite execution, and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Drive authentic celebrity attendance and engagement by cultivating talent who have a genuine connection to POP MART and our IPs.
  • Monitor celebrity social media mentions of POP MART and quickly identify opportunities to turn organic moments into earned media or secondary creative content in collaboration with the internal PR team.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with E‑commerce and Retail teams to ensure a seamless search‑to‑conversion funnel for products receiving celebrity exposure.
  • Collaborate closely across PR, Marketing, Social Media, Events, Retail, and E‑commerce to maximize celebrity and entertainment opportunities and ensure alignment across key brand initiatives.
What You Will Need
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in artist relations, celebrity relations, celebrity PR, entertainment marketing, talent relations, or a related field, with a strong track record of directly managing high‑profile talent relationships.
  • Celebrity Relations: Demonstrated hands‑on experience directly managing celebrity relationships, communications, gifting, seeding, and talent engagement initiatives.
  • Event Execution: Strong experience supporting and executing events, celebrity activations, VIP experiences, product launches, red‑carpet moments, or entertainment marketing initiatives.
  • Industry Network: Established and active relationships with celebrity agents, publicists, managers, personal stylists, talent teams, and other key entertainment industry partners.
  • Relevant Industry Experience: Experience within fashion, beauty, lifestyle, entertainment, luxury, or culturally relevant consumer brands, or at a leading agency supporting these industries.
  • Local Insight: Deep understanding of the Los Angeles and Beverly Hills entertainment ecosystem, including street‑style moments, red‑carpet seeding, celebrity gifting, awards season, and entertainment PR.
  • Hands‑on Execution: Proven ability to personally develop and manage celebrity relationships and execute initiatives rather than relying exclusively on external agencies.
  • Communication: Exceptional business acumen, relationship‑building skills, discretion, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to balance brand objectives with the needs and comfort of talent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a smaller, emerging, or high‑growth consumer brand, with hands‑on ownership of celebrity relations initiatives from outreach through activation and event execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build meaningful celebrity engagement through strong relationships and creative execution without relying heavily on large budgets or external agencies.
  • Existing relationships across the Los Angeles entertainment, fashion, beauty, and celebrity ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of Gen Z culture, fandom, collectibles, blind boxes, designer toys, anime, or related subcultures.
  • Experience building or engaging celebrity fan communities or social audiences.
  • Highly resourceful, results‑driven, and attuned to emerging entertainment and social media trends across TikTok, Instagram, and other platforms.
What We Offer
  • Market‑competitive packages: 401(k), health insurance, PTO, paid sick leave, and family leave.
  • Growth opportunities: on‑the‑job training, leadership development, and stretch assignments to advance your career.
