Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is seeking a CEI Inspector in Sevierville, TN to monitor contractor work for compliance with contract requirements and quality standards on transportation projects of moderate to considerable complexity.

You will support project management tasks, provide direction to junior inspectors, and ensure accurate reporting. This full-time on-site role requires inspection experience, TDOT credentials, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Strong math and problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn computer skills.
• Clear written and spoken English communication.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ICE is a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily observation of construction activities and document on reports/forms.
• Review construction materials for contract and specification compliance.
• Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specs.
• Evaluate materials and placement of culverts and structural components.
• Monitor pilings, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete, and backfill.
• Verify lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with survey equipment.
• Perform accurate calculations and computations.
• Sample and test construction materials for quality requirements.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance to documents and specs.
• Report non-compliance actions and safety violations to supervisor.
• Record Daily Work Reports for Site Manager and AASHTO projects.
