Job summary

Thompson Engineering is seeking qualified CEI Inspectors to support construction projects in Tennessee. The role involves inspecting activities and documenting progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards, working closely with contractors, the Senior Inspector, and the Project Manager.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and basic math and geometry skills. Willingness to travel and outdoor work are essential.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work to verify conformance with plans and standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports detailing labor, equipment, and work performed.
• Conduct material inspections and testing for project incorporation.
• Prepare sketches and documentation for deviations from plans.
• Assist with office tasks including plotting cross-sections and calculating earthwork quantities.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
