Join to apply for the CEI Construction Inspector Aide role at HDR.

HDR is hiring an Inspector Aide to assist our CEI Construction Inspection team on transportation projects. This position will be based at our project site in Orlando, Florida.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses for civil projects related to civil infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, and stormwater systems.
2. Monitor, record, and inspect progress on construction projects.
3. Conduct or coordinate field materials sampling and testing, including concrete slump and air testing, casting concrete test cylinders, and performing in-place soil compaction testing.
4. Perform other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Successful passing of drug-screening procedures prior to employment; subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing thereafter.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is essential.
• Must obtain FDOT Intermediate MOT within the first six months of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school or Associate's degree.
• Some demonstrated experience in construction inspection.
• Ability to interpret construction schedules.
