Ceded Reinsurance Claims Technician

Description

The Ceded Reinsurance Claims Technician will manage the presentation and collection of ceded reinsurance on managed accounts. This role involves working with a small team to handle a variety of claims, contributing significantly to the company's operations. The position is remote, East Coast-based, and full-time.

Key Responsibilities

• Present ceded reinsurance claims accurately and timely, addressing reinsurers’ and brokers’ queries.
• Analyze and review daily/monthly claim movements for XOL recovery, maintaining the internal reinsurance system to ensure correct contract positions, and managing cover erosion.
• Ensure ceded reserves and settlement requests are accurately input into the claims system and set up ceded policies with necessary documentation.
• Perform credit control functions, including cash collection and monitoring aged debt.
• Assist with due diligence reviews.
• Support negotiations with counterparties to achieve optimal outcomes for managed companies.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficiency in credit control, including cash collection and debt monitoring.
• High level of technical knowledge in ceded claims.
