Job summary

Pegasus is seeking a Critical Environment Technician to maintain cleanroom areas in a controlled environment. The role requires flexibility, responsibility, and the ability to multi-task during a 5:00 PM–1:30 AM shift, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.

Key duties include following strict cleanroom SOPs, wearing specified garments, and performing routine cleaning and EOS inspections to ensure safety and compliance in a high-precision facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleanrooms is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime and varied schedules (holidays may be required).

Responsibilities

• Keeps assigned cleanroom areas in a clean and orderly condition with no visible contamination.
• Follows client cleanroom SOPs and documentation.
• Performs cleaning methods such as vacuuming, trash disposal, surface and equipment cleaning, and mopping.
• Wears required cleanroom garments for safety.
• Completes End of Shift Inspections ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

General Responsibilities

The Critical Environment Technician is responsible for keeping assigned cleanroom areas in a clean and orderly condition and free of visible contamination. The ideal candidate will be flexible, responsible, highly motivated, and able to multi‑task.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 5PM - 1:30AM
• Some OT available

Pay

$19 per hour

Specific Duties / Essential Functions

• Works in controlled environments where strict rules and procedures must be followed to prevent contamination.
• Wear specific cleanroom garments while working for safety purposes.
• Follows and executes client’s cleanroom SOPs and documentation.
• Performs proper cleaning methods such as vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning all work surfaces/equipment, mopping of walls, ceilings, and floors within a structured time frame.
• Willingness to learn new concepts to understand cleanroom techniques and demonstrate proper cleanroom behavior fully always.
• Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience

• Cleanroom experience is preferred, but not required.
• High school or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
• Open availability: Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed/necessary. Holiday work may also be required.

Physical Requirements

• Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
• Must be able to lift 35 lb, carry 12 lbs backpack vacuum as needed.

Compliance Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
• Must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I‑9 and E‑Verify process.

• Must complete pre‑employment drug screen (if applicable).
• California Food Handlers Card (if applicable).

Work Environment

Clean rooms, controlled environments and technical rooms that typically have positive pressure, are HEPA filtered, adhere to a clean working environment, and have specific ways to enter and exit the assigned work area. Gowns must be worn for the protection of the room and products. Temperatures are cooler than a normal office building with controlled humidity.
