Job summary

Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDN Content team, focused on serving content globally with multi-tier caching across 20+ regions. You’ll build and operate services in Go, Lua, and TypeScript, with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability for billions of requests.

You will work on end-to-end serving, feature rollouts, and collaboration with Next.js and other teams, contributing to observability, testing, and on-call incident handling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend experience in production.
• Proficiency in Go or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP and caching.
• Code is tested, instrumented and documented.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve services behind ISR, PPR, and image optimization using Go, Lua, and TypeScript across the serving path.
• Drive defined projects from implementation through safe rollout with feature flags and progressive deployment.
• Monitor production: dashboards, metrics, and alerts; own what you ship.
• Contribute to observability dashboards, logs, and end-to-end tests to keep a high-change system trustworthy.
• Participate in on-call rotations with senior engineers and post-incident follow-ups.
• Collaborate with Next.js, CI/CD and partner teams through design reviews and pairing.
