Job summary

WME Express is seeking a Semi-Local Truck Driver to cover Lansing, MI and surrounding regions. Expect 6:00 AM starts, Sunday–Thursday with Friday & Saturday off, mostly drop & hook, no touch freight, and about 4 stops per load.

Trucks are single bunk sleepers and home time aligns with account locations. Average pay is $90,000 per year with mileage pay for regional and local runs; extra pay includes attendance, backhaul, breakdowns, and safety pay.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months trucking experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days (company pays for it).

Responsibilities

• No touch freight.
• Mostly drop & hook (85%).
• Average 4 stops per load.
• Deliver to stores and shuttle between Lansing, MI & Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Semi-Local Truck Driver – (Lansing, MI)

Pay:

• Average $90,000 per year

• 2,500–2,700 miles per week

Mileage Pay:

• Regional runs (75% of loads, 200+ miles):

• Local runs (25% of loads, under 200 miles):

Extra Pay:

• $100 per week attendance pay

• $30 for backhaul pickups

• $25/hour for breakdowns (after 2 hours, up to $300/day)

• $20/hour safety pay

• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days (company pays for it)

Where You’ll Drive

• Illinois (no downtown Chicago)

• Indiana

• Michigan (including Upper Peninsula)

• Ohio

• Wisconsin

• Mostly Chicago suburb routes

• Deliver to stores and shuttle between Lansing, MI & Pleasant Prairie, WI

Schedule

• Sunday–Thursday (Friday & Saturday off)

• Start at 6:00 AM

• Out 2–3 nights per week

• 7 PTO days first year, 10 PTO days after 1 year

• May work some holidays
