Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver for home-daily routes hauling frozen groceries. Earn $70,000 per year with a $5,000 bonus on a dedicated frozen food shuttle with home-daily routes, no-touch freight, and drop-and-hook operations.

Shuttling between local facilities, 5–10 trips per day, with some store transfers possible. Start about 3–4 PM; Sunday-Thursday schedule; uniform provided and maintained. Minimum 3 months CDL experience and DOT Medical Card required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and 3 months verifiable CDL-A experience.
• Clean driving record and DOT Medical Card.
• No SAP Drivers.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Safe and legal driving practices.
• Ability to perform pre-trip inspections and inspect tractor/trailer tires.

Responsibilities

• Shuttle frozen grocery loads between local facilities and relay yards.
• Drop‑and‑hook and no‑touch freight.
• 5–10 shuttles per day depending on location; minimum 3 shuttles per day.
• May handle store transfers, trailer moves, or local backhauls.

CDL-A Local Shuttle Driver – Good Pay + Bonus | Home Daily

Earn $70,000 per year on a dedicated frozen food shuttle with home-daily routes, no-touch freight, and drop-and-hook operations. Drivers primarily shuttle reefer loads between local relay yards, with additional local work available as needed.

Pay Details

$70,000 Average Annual Pay
Average Weekly Pay: $1,400

• $5,000 Bonus
• 500 miles/week

Job Details

• Shuttle frozen grocery loads between local facilities and relay yards
• Drop & hook and no-touch freight
• 5-10 shuttles per day depending on location
• Minimum 3 shuttles per day required
• May handle store transfers, trailer moves, or local backhauls
• No NYC deliveries
• May assist supermarket deliveries, intermodal, and other dedicated accounts
• Store deliveries may include 2-3 stops per trailer
• Electric pallet jack may be required for store deliveries
• May handle return products or backhauls to the DC

Shift Details

• Sunday-Thursday
• Start around 3 PM-4 PM
• Home Daily
• 6th day required during designated holiday periods
• Drivers work scheduled holidays unless the account is closed
• Thanksgiving and Christmas off
• New Year's Day not guaranteed

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
