Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings in Davison, MI is seeking full-time yard switchers to join our operations team. The role offers 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts with overtime after 40 hours and a pay rate of $31.50 per hour.

Benefits begin after 90 days, including medical, dental and vision coverage, plus paid holidays and paid time off. Key duties include performing trailer switches, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, verifying trailers and documentation, and maintaining yard safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• CDL-A is required.
• At least 6 months tractor-trailer experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• No felonies or DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Perform trailer switches according to schedule.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Check trailer numbers and verify documentation.
• Report equipment damage or safety issues.
• Maintain yard organization and traffic flow.
• Communicate with warehouse staff and dispatch.
• Follow all DOT and company safety policies.

Job Details

Shifts available

• 1st: (hours/pay) 6am-3pm OT when needed $31.50 all shifts. Shift is done by seniority
• 2nd: (hours/pay) 3pm-1130pm OT when needed
• 3rd :(hours/pay) 9pm-6am OT when needed
• 40 hours/week (Overtime after 40)
• Pay: $31.50/Hour
• Benefits after 90 days: Blue Cross/Blue Shield Medical, Dental and Vision.
• Paid Holidays and Paid Days Off
