Job summary

DRiV Incorporated is hiring a Yard Switcher in Smyrna, TN for day shift hours (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM). The role handles dock/yard operations, trailer transfers and safety compliance, with pay at $22 per hour and benefits from day one.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL, a Health Card, and at least 1 year of trailer moving experience, plus the ability to work a flexible schedule and meet EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license and Health Card required.
• Minimum 1 year trailer moving experience.
• Must have LTL dock experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Maintain dock and yard organization for equipment and trailers.
• Comply with EH&S regulations and maintain safe conditions.
• Manage dock operations for load quality and capacity.
• Transfer trailers between dock doors or yard for space and productivity.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors or yard trucks.
• Ensure trailers are secured to the building and chocked.
• Load and unload trailers with powered equipment as needed.
• Inspect trucks for defects and safe operation.
• Record shipment data for reporting and record keeping.
