Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Yard Driver at our Otsego, MN location. The role supports trailer movement at the distribution center, assists with preparing trailers for shipping, and monitors trailer status.

Pay rate is $25.25 per hour, with benefits starting after 60 days and a pathway to paid holidays and time off. Responsibilities include driving tractor-trailer within yard, inspecting trailers and ensuring secure loads, and following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years related driving experience desired.
• 100,000-mile tractor-trailer experience desired.
• CDL required.
• Accident-free driving record desired.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor, maneuvering into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Inspect trailers for defects, pre/post trip and submit inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect loaded trailers to ensure product is secure for transport and that refrigeration unit is functioning.
• Drive tractor-trailer within yard or short distances outside of yard.
• Meet the position's physical demands and load/unload as needed.
