Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Dallas, TX is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Driver - Casual to support logistics operations at the airport and warehouse. The role involves moving cargo, loading/unloading vehicles, and ensuring accurate handling and labeling of shipments for export.

You will operate forklift and other warehouse equipment, enter data into our inventory system with a handheld scanner, and meet CDL requirements as well as safety and cargo handling standards.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B required; Class A CDL preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement strongly preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, cargo handling including forklift operations as well as other materials handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport cargo to/from airport, area carriers, and direct customer pick-up/deliveries.
• Move shipments to receiving/staging areas per designated plan.
• Sort and place shipments on racks by destination.
• Load/unload vehicles; build pallets and containers for shipment.
• Enter data into warehouse systems using desktop and handheld scanner.
• Prepare shipments for export; label shipments and prepare bills of lading.
• Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed.
