Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Linden, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver to manage a daily route and operate a Vacuum Truck to collect industrial waste from customers such as auto shops and quick lube businesses.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance on every job. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Background check, drug test, and medical/physical as required by position.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Comply with respirator standards per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.34.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Vacuum Truck to collect industrial waste at customer sites.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups promptly.
• Maintain health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day on route.
• Generate/collect leads and sell additional products and services.
• Prospect for new accounts on assigned route and manage existing accounts.
• Ensure compliance with US DOT and applicable regulations.

Safety-Kleen in Linden is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver (Vacuum Sales and Service Representative) to manage a route and operate a Vacuum Truck to pick up industrial waste from customers such as automotive repair shops and quick oil change businesses and transport to disposal sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Requirements

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Manual labor on sites to completely fulfill customer needs
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner
• Complete all required documentation and labeling
• Generate / collect leads from customers for new products and services
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts
• Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route
• Primary account ownership in assigned route
• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment
• Use of various mobile devices
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.
